DnB Nor defends ‘unsuitable’ loan-financed structured products in court

Norwegian bank DnB Nor went to court in the middle of April defending claims from Ivar Petter Røeggen that it had distributed unsuitable structured products to him in 2000.

“The client invested in two capital-protected products, 2000/2006, with NKr250,000 in each of the products,” says a spokesperson for the bank. “The client took up a loan (also from DnB) to finance the investments with the structured products as collateral.
