The private banker

Structured Products embarks on a series of interviews with leading participants from every section of the industry, ranging from structurers to distributors and index providers. This month, Paul Lyon speaks with SG Hambros' Andrew Popper about the development of structured products in the private banking sphere

How long have you been with SG Hambros? I joined SG Hambros in 2001. Prior to that, I was a managing director with Deutsche Bank (ex-Bankers Trust) Private Banking in London, with responsibilities for investment management and product development for Europe and the Middle East.

How did you first get involved with the structured products market? Was it a case of reacting to client demand, or a feeling that structured products should be offered for clients keen to diversify their portfolios?
