PowerShares to release actively managed US Real Estate ETF

Invesco PowerShares has announced its plan to launch an actively managed US Real Estate exchange-traded fund (ETF) on NYSE Arca in November.

The PowerShares Active US Real Estate Fund primarily invests in equity real estate investment trusts (Reits) which are selected according to a proprietary stock selection model developed by Invesco Institutional. The model aims to outperform its benchmark, the FTSE Nareit Equity Reits index, by using quantitative and statistical metrics to highlight the best priced securities and also manage risk.

PowerShares has more than 100 domestic and international index-based as well as actively managed
