HVB rolls out capital guaranteed structured fund

HypoVereinsbank (HVB) in Germany has launched a new open-ended structured fund with a capital guarantee. The fund is linked to the performance of the DJ Eurostoxx 50 and offers investors up to 45-55% returns over the first five years.

The Rolling Protect 1SI DJ Euro Stoxx 50 fund allows investors to participate in the gains of the index up to a cap, which will be decided on March 14 2008, the strike date of the product. The cap will be between 45-55% return over the first five years, which equates to an annual return of between 7.72–9.17%.

After the first five years of the fund, the amount invested, plus any accumulated return
