RBS launches first structured fund for private banking

If the level of the FTSE100 Index has fallen by more than 50% at the end of the term compared to the start the target minimum return of 25% will not be paid. “We have been looking at building up a fund platform for some time,” says Robert Begbie, London-based head of structured investor products at RBS. “We reckon the structured funds market will be an area of growth.”

Begbie says the fund platform will allow RBS to roll out more structured funds in the UK and Europe in the next six months.
