E.ON recently reported strong 2004 results, reiterating its intention to make acquisitions and removing its self-imposed cap of €5bn on potential investments. The new message is that acquisitions of any size will be considered although adherence to its strict investment criteria will remain. The concern is whether E.ON will undertake an aggressive acquisition programme focusing on gas
