Standard Chartered unveils first Arab equity-linked note

Standard Chartered (UAE) has launched its first Arab equity fund-linked structured product. The Khazana Note, which is a six-year capital-protected product linked to a basket of funds, is also the first of its kind in region.

"Khazana Note is the first product in the GCC (Cooperation Council for the Arab states of the Gulf) and Middle East that allows investors a capital-guaranteed route to some of the best-performing markets worldwide," says UAE-based Ray Ferguson, chief executive at Standard
