Debunking some myths

Why is it that structured products continue to elicit some bizarre comments from otherwise well-informed individuals? Robert Benson takes issue with some common myths concerning structured products

A recent newspaper column from the head of research at a leading firm of UK financial advisers once again repeated some of the widely held misconceptions on structured products (see below). Depressingly, I suspect that many others in the financial community, particularly those in the media, possess similar views.
