First signs of reverse convertible rebound materialise in the US

Indications of a recovery in reverse convertible notes are appearing in the US. The notes, which cater to more adventurous risk profiles, have fallen out of favour in recent months as volatile markets have forced structures to breach their barriers.

Barclays Capital and ABN Amro were the biggest issuers of the structures in March. The Dutch bank offered 12 notes on one day alone, but Barclays is ahead in terms of issuance - two days in which the bank issued 30 reverse convertibles brought its
