Renaissance Capital raises its game

Investment bank Renaissance Capital launched a separate equity and structured products business two years ago with a remit to expand the range of equity derivatives instruments to Western and Russian clients. Shamillia Sivathambu looks at what the business has achieved and hears it's plans for the future


Renaissance Capital's equity finance and structured products unit is responsible for issuing the largest number of structured products in the Russian and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) financial markets. Since the unit's inception in March 2004, it has garnered $1.8 billion of assets in issuance, although this includes options trading books, ETFs and certificates in addition to structured products.
