RBS/RenCap take first Russian steps with vanilla Sips

Structured investment products (Sips) are being made available in Russia via a joint venture between Renaissance Capital and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). Banks, including VTB Europe, are gearing up to exploit increasing demand for vanilla structured products.

The Sips are available offshore and across all asset classes, including interest rates, equity, foreign exchange, commodities and hybrids. They are typically capital-protected, with the majority 100% protected. The joint venture, formed
