The road to superannuation


Until last year, structured product deal sales in Australia were mainly the preserve of retail and high-net-worth individuals, and used with an eye for tax efficiency. There are no official statistics on structured product flows, but capital-protected structured products deal issuance in the country was estimated at about A$4 billion (US$3.8 billion) by industry participants last year, with the market characterised as still relatively niche.

Change was introduced in the form of a September 2007
