Bayerische Landesbank Takes Targa For Risk Management And Hedging

MUNICH-based Bayerische Landes-bank (BLB) is upgrading the treasury balance sheet and market risk management systems used at its New York treasury operations.

The bank is installing Targa, a Microsoft Windows NT-based risk management and trading system jointly developed by Price Waterhouse, the global accountancy house, and Theoretics, a Utah-based financial software company.

Bank officials say BLB will install Targa in two areas: its risk management group will use the system for cross-product
