Petko Bahovski

Petko Bahovski received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics and a master’s degree in international economics and finance from Brandeis University, Boston.

From 1994 to 1999, he began to build a banking career by working at American Express, ING Bank, Baring Asset Management and Chase Manhattan Bank. From 1999 to 2008, he worked with JP Morgan as an investment banker based in New York, London, Hong Kong and Singapore. He was responsible for the delivery of emerging markets products to Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe and Asia, travelling extensively in those regions to meet clients from private banks, pension funds and insurance companies, as well as asset managers.

In 2008, Bahovski moved to Switzerland, where he is currently based, to become a wealth manager and private banking expert. From 2008 to 2012, he managed teams of private bankers at Credit Suisse, the second-largest Swiss private bank and wealth manager, and at Coutts, one of the world’s oldest banks and wealth managers. At present, he advises banks on how to build their private banking strategies, and also acts as an independent financial adviser.
