Front to boost product development with new hire

Front Capital Systems, a Stockholm-based operating unit of Pennsylvania-based technology company SunGard, has appointed Mats Lillienberg as chief technology officer in a bid to expand its product development.

Lillienberg joins from Swedish supply-chain management provider Industri-Matematik International (IMI), where he was senior vice-president of product operations. He was recruited to focus on Front’s research and development plans and will lead the unification of Front Arena, Treasury Trader and Global Trader into one platform.

“Lillienberg will lead the consolidation of product portfolios to deliver a comprehensive trading solution, offering the industry one powerful platform for trading all asset classes, from front to back,” said Front's chief executive Jonas Lindström.

SunGard Trading Systems began the process of integrating its major cash and derivatives trading systems to offer cross-asset, front- to back-office straight-through processing under the Front Arena brand in January.

To bolster Front’s sales efforts, Front has also appointed Hans-Peter Neuhaus as regional sales director for Germany and Austria, and Gordon Russell to the position of UK sales manager. Neuhaus and Russell both join from roles at Reuters. The appointments follow the recent hire of Pamela Pecs-Cytron as managing director of the Americas.
