Leigh Tesfatsion

Leigh Tesfatsion - Iowa State University

Leigh Tesfatsion received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota. Currently she is Professor of Economics, Mathematics, and Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University.

Her principal research area is agent-based test bed development, with a particular focus on the integrated operation of retail and wholesale electric power markets with smart grid functionality. She is an active participant in IEEE working groups and task forces focusing on power economics issues.
