

BoComm, Nomura and Citic near G-Sib designation
Dealers could all become members of the club next year if trend continues
Bank of Communications (BoComm), Nomura and Citic Bank moved closer to being labelled as global systemically important banks (G-Sibs), Risk Quantum analysis shows.
The banks’ G-Sib scores – calculated by the Basel Committee to categorise too-big-to-fail banks – rose closer to the 130-basis point threshold that would trigger the designation as a systemic bank.

BoComm, the fifth-largest Chinese bank by assets, has increased its G-Sib score by 4bp to 125bp over the last 12 months, and
