Corporates and insurers

Risk Quantum monitors the ten largest US companies and ten largest European companies by revenue, as identified by Fortune 500, as well as the 20 largest life and general insurers in the world by assets.

Risk Quantum monitors the use of financial instruments by corporates for hedging purposes and the application of hedge accounting within their financial results. The ten largest US companies and ten largest European companies by revenue, as identified by Fortune 500, are included in the tracked sample. Data are gathered from periodic financial results and regulatory filings.

The 20 largest life and general insurers in the world by assets are monitored for fluctuations in their regulatory solvency ratios, capital resources, and use of derivatives for hedging and trading. Statutory filings are used as primary data sources, as are occasional regional and industry-wide supervisory surveys.
