Deutsche restructures Taunus to avoid unnecessary capital movement


Deutsche Bank is planning to restructure its US subsidiary to avoid moving capital around unnecessarily, and not to evade compliance with new capital rules as stated in some media reports, says one banking source.

"What the bank is trying to avoid doing is putting billions of dollars into the holding company that would have no use for the capital," the source says.

The restructure will allow the regulated banking arm of Taunus, the German bank's holding company in the US, to become a direct subs
