New UK bribery bill to strengthen anti-corruption laws

New bribery and corruption legislation to be put before the UK parliament was revealed in the Queen’s speech on Wednesday. Doing business using bribery would mean jail for a decade under the bill.

The planned legislation, which would strengthen existing UK corruption laws, will need to pass quickly, as there are only 33 legislative days left in the House of Lords (the UK’s upper house) until the last date for a general election.
