SAS programme to raise op risk awareness
MARLOW, UK - Financial software firm SAS's operational risk software division is launching a new e-learning programme aimed at helping financial services firms raise awareness of op risk within their various business units.
The web-based tool is scheduled to be launched in March, according to Peyman Mestchian, head of the risk intelligence practice at SAS - Europe, Middle East and Africa. Mestchian, who is based at the firm's UK headquarters in Marlow, says the idea for the new product had its genesis in the survey SAS conducted in conjunction with Risk and Operational Risk magazines in 2004.
