Asia is broadly several years behind the US and Europe in terms of rolling out credit valuation adjustments (CVAs), with very few domestic houses in the region using the technique or having the infrastructure to do so, according to panellists attending the 2010 Asia Pacific CVA Forum, jointly held by Asia Risk and BNP Paribas on Tuesday, September 28. However, post-crisis, attendees said there is greater focus on the issue, with international dealers paying more attention to Asian CVA trading
