Raft International
Founded in 1995, Raft International is a pioneer in component-based rapid application development for financial institutions, specialising in risk management for investment banking and energy trading and wealth management solutions. It focuses on the provision of business consulting and the design, development and deployment of leading-edge business solutions.
With offices in the UK, Denmark, Sweden and India and a global customer base, Raft’s aim is to be the first-choice supplier of advanced business solutions for the financial services industry, facilitating business agility through highly flexible strategic solutions designed and delivered with unparalleled speed to market.
London-based Raft’s approach is to identify a customer’s specific business requirements, then select components that provide that functionality from its constantly growing component inventory. If need be, the company will modify existing components to meet those requirements more closely and/or create new components unique to that business application.
Our products and services are organised in two vertical lines of business – the Raft Component Inventory and the Raft Product Catalogue. These are delivered through four operational business units – investment banking, operational risk, energy trading and wealth management.
As the company addresses additional areas of financial market segmentation and its core skill sets expand, additional business units will be added when required.
Raft offers the following products:
- Raft Radar – a process-orientated qualitative operational risk management solution delivering loss incident data and key risk indicators.
- Raft Credit – credit risk management solutions for investment banking. Raft Credit is functionally rich in the areas of credit exposure calculation and management, limit specification and monitoring, client hierarchy structures and netting agreements, with comprehensive interface capabilities.
- Raft Collateral – collateral management solutions for investment banking. Raft Collateral delivers a wide range of functionality covering the calculation of collateral requirements, revaluation (which may be coupled to real-time feeds), collateral management, top-up calls, rehypothecation and trade/custodian reconciliation.
- Raft Energy – a global limits management and credit exposure measurement application for the energy markets.
- Raft Wealth – a comprehensive suite of web-enabled banking functionality for internal staff, account managers and high-net-worth clients, covering portfolio valuation and management, order management, position information, automated messaging and statements.
