Two regulators in Europe share a vision to simplify their almost identical trade reporting regimes. Both are starting at the same point and looking ahead to the same end, so why they have set off on diverging routes?

For cross-border firms, this is more than just a curious quirk of fate. Divergence would bring the prospect of extra costs associated with reconfiguring systems to accommodate nuances
