BOC’s Mortimer to join European energy users’ body Hugh Mortimer, commercial manager at UK industrial group BOC, has been invited to join the board of the International Federation of Industrial Energy Consumers Europe (IFIEC). He will replace David Williams, formerly of French chemicals firm Rhodia, who is retiring as president of the Federation. Mortimer has responsibility for buying electricity and gas for BOC and for lobbying energy bodies throughout Europe to ensure supplies are competitively priced. He already serves on the IFIEC’s working party for electricity. The IFIEC, based in Brussels, represents the interests of intensive energy users in Europe. BOC is a provider of industrial and special gases, health care, vacuum technology, and distribution services.
