Kempen & Co. hires Pontier and Zoutenbier to build structured products business

Kempen, an investment bank in Amsterdam, has hired Koen Zoutenbier from Fortis and Hans Pontier from Rabobank to build a structured products business for its institutional and private investors and its private banking clients at Van Lanschot, which acquired Kempen at the end of last year.

Zoutenbier, who has been appointed director and senior account manager of the new structured products group, will join from Fortis where he worked since 1996 as a director of structured products. Zoutenbier will report to Hans Pontier, managing director and the head of the new group at Kempen.

Pontier was formerly a managing director of global financial markets at Rabobank International in London.
