Changing hats
Peter Dittus
has been named by the Bank for International Settlements as its new secretary general for a five-year term. He replaces Gunter Baer, who has held the position since 1994. Dittus joined the BIS in 1992 as an economist, and following several internal posts was named deputy secretary general in 2000. He now takes responsibility for the provision of corporate services within the BISOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
