Haddrill leaves ABI for FRC

Stephen Haddrill has been appointed chief executive of the Financial Reporting Council, the UK's independent regulator responsible for promoting confidence in corporate reporting and governance. He has been director general since May 2005 at the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and will leave in November to take over from Paul Boyle.
