Societe Generale has begun to restructure its global equities and derivatives team in the wake of the multi-billion-euro rogue-trading scandal that led to the removal from the bank of Luc Francois, its former head of global equity derivatives.

When SG revealed the losses on January 24, Christophe Mianne was moved from his position as head of global markets to replace Francois, reassuming a position he had held until January 2008. (See Structured Products, February 2008, pages 5 and 18.)
