ABN Amro hires head of European bank origination

ABN Amro has hired Tim Skeet, a senior debt capital markets banker, as head of European bank origination.

This is a new role in the bank’s financial markets business, designed to further its position in providing debt funding and regulatory capital services to financial institutions around the world.

Skeet was previously head of the European financial institutions group at Barclays Capital in London, where he was responsible for all aspects of relationships with European bank clients, including regulatory capital, securitisation, advisory and tax-structured product marketing. During his 20-year career in debt markets, he has also held senior financial institutions positions at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley.

Skeet will be based in London and reports to Spiro Pappas, global head of debt capital markets origination for financial institutions and the public sector.
