DrKW hires Kalimtgis to head new credit risk team
In addition to his role as head of the new group, Kalimtgis will also be a member of the German bank’s capital markets credit management committee.
Prior to joining DrKW, Kalimtgis was European head of credit strategy at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). He joined the Swiss bank in January 2000, and was part of the team that developed CSFB’s proprietary Merton-type model of single-name credit risk called Credit underlying securities pricing (Cusp) that it offers to its fixed-income investor clients.
DrKW’s hire is the latest in a series of credit appointments by the German bank this year – the most high-profile of which was Rick Weinstein’s appointment to the newly-created position of head of credit derivatives.
