BNP hires head of European sovereigns, agencies and supras

BNP Paribas has hired Alexandra Basirov as head of European sovereigns, agencies and supranationals (SAS) in debt capital markets in London. Starting on August 14, Basirov will report to Ligia Torres, head of the European corporate group within fixed income.

Basirov previously worked at JPMorgan for nine years, most recently as head of German, Austrian and Scandinavian agency and bank coverage
