Goldman Sachs project aims to ease disputes over data

Goldman Sachs has unveiled a credit derivatives market data scrubbing and sharing project designed to head off disputes among market participants over the terms of their contracts. After several months of negotiations, Goldman brought JP Morgan Chase and Deutsche Bank in as partners on the project last month. The three firms will pool data on the reference entities in their portfolios in order to establish a market data standard. They plan to bring in other dealers soon.
