Direct streaming of government bond prices to clients via API was once seen as the preserve of non-bank market-makers and proprietary trading firms looking for a way to break into a market dominated by big dealers. But banks are now offering this style of trading for bonds and other fixed income instruments, with some saying bilateral streaming could soon rival volumes on established electronic
