Goldman, JP and BofA face higher G-Sib surcharges

Banks could see an extra 50 basis points of capital add-on without remedial action

Three of the eight too-big-to-fail US banks posed a greater systemic threat to the financial system in 2021 than a year prior and may have to bear higher capital add-ons in future as a result, Risk Quantum analysis shows.

Goldman Sachs saw its systemic score rise the most year on year, by 111 basis points to 667bp. This score would cause it to attract a Common Equity Tier 1 capital add-on equal
