
JP Morgan AM leads US funds in equity index options buildout
Counterparty Radar: S&P 500 puts and calls grow 10% in Q1

JP Morgan Asset Management has spearheaded the expansion of the equity index options market for US mutual funds, adding $4.7 billion to its book in the first quarter of the year and solidifying its position as the largest manager in the space.
US mutual funds added $11.1 billion to their positions in Q1 overall, settling at $131 billion, according to data from filings made to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
S&P 500 index options were by far the most popular, with the space growing
