Credit Suisse launches algorithmic trading in Australia

Credit Suisse started offering its Advanced Execution Services (AES) Velocity platform to Australia today, enabling Australian-listed equities direct market access (DMA) speeds of less than one millisecond.

The new service is part of the bank's efforts to offer capital-efficient trading to clients. "Speed matters to our clients trading in Asia more than ever before. In response to that priority, we delivered sub-millisecond trading speeds in four major Asia Pacific markets in 2010," says Hani Sh
