New database to match credit derivative names

2,000 names will be made available for greater transparency

Mark-It Partners plans to launch a database of nearly 2,000 names traded in the credit derivatives market in the coming months which it claims will bring greater liquidity and transparency to the credit derivatives market.

The Reference Entity Database, or Red for short, will enable market partners to match a derivative's reference entity (RE) with the associated benchmark bond or reference obligation (RO).

Launched six months ago to a limited audience Red has grown to include reference
