
FSC: Taiwan banks have innovative edge over bigger mainland rivals
The Taiwanese banking sector’s competence in foreign exchange, derivatives, wealth management and consumer finance will enable the island’s banks to compete with their much larger mainland China rivals in the event that cross-strait business opens up, according to comments made by Taiwan’s financial regulator, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC).
The FSC was quoted in the February issue of Straits Business Monthly, the official monthly publication of the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF)
