UK FSA names new head

The Financial Services Authority (FSA), which regulates the UK’s finance market, is to appoint Hector Sants as its new chief executive.

Sants, the FSA’s managing director of wholesale and institutional markets since 2004, will succeed John Tiner on July 19 at the annual public meeting.
