LSE consults on proposed product solutions for Mifid

The London Stock Exchange (LSE) has published a consultation paper on a range of key product initiatives to enable firms to comply with and profit from the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid).

On pre-trade transparency the LSE is proposing the introduction of market making in all Liquid securities as defined by Mifid, covering SETS, SETSmm, EUROSETS and a new European Quoting Service (EQS). For post-trade transparency, it suggests the provision of a pan-European trade reporting
