Events in peripheral Europe and slow growth in other developed markets have left many investors sitting on cash or maintaining current ETF positions

Inflows into European-listed exchange-traded funds (ETF) have been hit this year as economic uncertainty has led many investors to hold cash rather than investing, say industry participants.

As the pace of growth in the European ETF market has accelerated over the past five years, the industry has seen year-on-year increases of around 30% in inflows.
