US Wrap: Downside gearing increases

Goldman Sachs has unveiled another accelerated growth product that has leveraged downside participation in the S&P 500. The rate has inched up to 113.64%, whereas downside gearing is generally capped at 111.11% for the retail market.

However, the increase of 2% has been mirrored in the product's buffer, which sits at 12% rather than the typical 10% in such structures, where they include a buffer at all. Upside participation is 100% and the investment lasts 18 months. Returns are capped at 21–25%
