Malaysia’s ASM Investment offers fund invests in structured product

Investment manager ASM Investment in Malaysia has launched a fund that invests 96% of its assets in a three-year Ringgit-denominated structured product issued by Deutsche Bank. The return of the structured product is linked to nine underlying assets: three equity indexes, three Reit indexes and a basket of commodities.

The three equity indexes are: the CROCI Islamic Europe Index, the CROCI Islamic US Index and the CROCI Islamic Japan Index. The three Reit indexes are: the EPRA Europe Index, TSE Reit Index and Ishares Dow Jones US Real Estate. And the return of the products is also linked to a basket of commodities comprising zinc, aluminium and crude oil.

The balance of the capital raised during the subscription period will be held in the form of cash and other liquid assets. The fund has a notional size of 500
