Lehman launches Enhanced Returns and Emerging Markets plans

Lehman Brothers has launched issue 4 of the capital protected Enhanced Returns Plan, offering fixed returns of either 55% for a five-year or 25% for a three-year term. Both the options provide fixed returns provided the FTSE 100 index is equal to or higher than its initial level at maturity. The rates offered in the latest tranche mark a 5% and 3% rise for the five and three-year options respectively, compared to previous issues in the series.

Lehman has also launched the capital protected Enhanced Emerging Markets plan, which offers returns based on the accelerated growth in the S&P Bric 40 index through either a three and a half-year option or a five-year option. The three and a half-year option provides 110% participation rate subject to a maximum return of 32% while the five-year product provides 130% subject to a maximum of 60%.
