Financial recovery structured fund offered to Malaysian investors

CMS Trust Management in Malaysia has launched its first structured fund, aimed to offer investors exposure to bottomed-out financial stocks. The fund has been launched in partnership with OCBC Bank, and will only be available at the bank’s 29 branches.

The Financial Recovery Structured Fund is a three-and-a-half year close-ended unit trust fund. It invests in six global financial stocks to provide an annual coupon of up to 8%, and is capital guaranteed at maturity. CMS is targeting the fund at investors who want to profit from a later rebound in the global financial sector, which has lost more than a third of its value, the company says.

The fund will be open for subscription until October 22 through OCBC. Minimum initial investment is 5000
