Deal of the Month: Carlyle CLO

In a first for the European markets, and one of the few bright spots for structured finance over the New Year period, Carlyle's leveraged loan group closed a synthetic collateralised loan obligation. Called European Carlyle Synthetic Loan Partners, the deal references loan credit default swaps (LCDS) and is the first ever managed European synthetic CLO.
