Fitch issues CCO methodology

Fitch Ratings has published its methodology for evaluating commodities-linked credit obligations (CCOs) in a report entitled ‘Considerations for Rating Commodities-linked Credit Obligations’.

The rating agency has outlined its analysis framework for CCO structures with both put, call, long or short positions. The new framework, combined with Fitch’s Default Vector model will help to evaluate combined and correlated commodity- and credit-linked structures.

CCOs are seen to share structural
