Isda AGM Singapore: Credit derivatives up 39% in H2 2005, says Isda

Overall, growth in the notional of CDSs reached 105% in 2005, against 123% in 2004, Isda said at its annual general meeting in Singapore today. The survey covers credit default swaps on single names, baskets and portfolios of credit and index trades.

Notional amounts of interest rates derivatives outstanding, including interest rate swaps and options and cross-currency interest rate swaps, grew almost 6% to $213.2 trillion in the second half of 2005. This represented a 16% increase from one year
