Swap data repository (SDR)

A repository to which swap trades must be sent in order to comply with the trade reporting aspects of Dodd-Frank. Third parties register SDRs for specific product types. Once registration is approved, all deals of that class must be sent to the SDR by one party if the swaps fall under the Dodd-Frank rules. The European equivalent of an SDR is a trade repository.
